Our partners are the members of the Inter-American Development Fund who lead seven committees which supervise and make decisions about all our operations. We have among them a combination of academics, businesspeople, doctors, lawyers, diplomats, engineers, and many people who want to do more for their community, their country, and their region.

Founding Partners


Rudy Perecin Mareño - Visionary. Has traveled most of the continent visiting communities and learning about social infrastructure projects in Latin America. Maintains a close relationship with regional leaders, government representatives, and businesses that work for, and work in, the Region. Is a founding partner of Fondo Interamericano de Desarrollo and of the Inter-American Development Fund. Member since 2007.


Frank Sousek Medrano - Lawyer. Expert in international law and contractual disputes. One of the original founders of the organization, writer of the articles of incorporation, and internal bylaws of Fondo Interamericano de Desarrollo. Linguist. Mr. Sousek currently represents the organization in Asia. Member since 2007.


Valerie Rosas - Idealist. Founder of the group Latinos on the Move at George Mason University. Holds degrees in Government and Politics. Currently collaborates by mobilizing the Latino Community in the United States to support development projects in Latin America. Member since 2009.

 

Andrea Chavez Calvi - Perseverant. Has lived, worked, and traveled in Latin America. Has helped to frame the vision and create the Bylaws for the Inter-American Development Fund. Member since 2009.


Laura Sologuren Sanchez
- Licensed in education. Expert in the management and improvement of educational units for kids with special needs. One of the main promotores of education projects within the institution. Founder of the volunteer program Latinos on the Move within the organization. Member since 2007.


Erick Bautista
-
Savvy. Erick travels regularly to South America for recreation and to connect back with his roots. As a Founding Partner, Erick helped draft Bylaws and Articles of the Organization. He also networks with Latino organizations in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area. Erick currently serves on the Recruiting and Appraisal, and Fundraising committees. Member since 2009.


Luke Finocchario - Balanced. Traveled and volunteered in Central America several times over the past decade. Overwhelmed by the sincerity and generosity of the people of Latin America. Completing a Masters Degree in Public Administration from George Mason University. Pursuing new fundraising opportunities and forming relationships to support the ability of the Inter-American Development Fund. Currently serves as Chairman of the Project Development Committee. Member since 2010.



Jessie Schwartz
-
Organized. Passionate about development work has previously with international agencies in Central and South America as well as the Caribbean. Currently directs the creation of procedures and project accountability for the Inter-American Development Fund. Member since 2010.


Michael Youngblood
-
Compassionate. Michael Youngblood is an entrepreneur in the for-profit and non-profit sectors. He has founded several ventures in both sectors including a micro-finance program in Vietnam, a sports-nutrition beverage company, an eco-tourism business, and is currently starting a consulting service advising nonprofits on business strategies. He enjoys his work at the IADF where he combines his passion for Latin America with his professional experience.



Dan Aaron
-
Pensive. Ever since a high-school trip to Peru, has been profoundly aware of the beauty of Latin-America, but also how poverty stricken many parts of it still are. Since then, the connection remains strong through friendships with Latinos and recognition that we are all 'Americans.' Currently advises on the budget development, control, and systematization. Member since 2010.


Brandi Williams
- Thorough. In multiple occasions has worked together with Latino nonprofits and tutored ESL students. Has ample experience in drafting grant proposals at the federal and state level. Currently serves in the Project Development Committee. Member since 2010.

 

Ke "Tony" Zhang - Motivator. An MBA Candidate at the University of Southern California, Ke was inspired by the stories of his Latin American friends and acquaintances and draws his own experiences growing up from an underdeveloped area in China. Ke's experiences living in all different cities in the world and working with Fortune 500 companies and orphanages alike has enabled him a strong belief that our generation should utilize oue skills for social good and to help people from underdeveloped areas achieve a higher quality of life by contributing to ongoing international development efforts. Ke is fond of singing, public speaking and performance, and he plays soccer.


Freidricka M. Camille -
Analytical. Having lived in a developing country, recognizes the social issues, which stem from the need to fulfill the basic needs for survival, inherent in deprived communities. Believes in our human capacity to unite for the greater good and to empower individuals with the tools to cultivate their communities with hope and promise for future generations. Member since 2010.

 


Choi Yon Jong -
Responsible. Originally from Korea, but has always dreamed of living in Latin America. Has travelled extensively in Asia and has gained an appreciation for development work through the eyes of happy and positive people. With an MBA and MPP and experience in NGO work, she contributes to the organization by offering best-practice strategies in the Project Development and Fundraising Committees. Member since 2010.


Marie-France Saavedra - Energetic. Born in Bolivia, travels frequently to South America and has a special interest in the development sports and recreational opportunities for kids in the region. Currently serves in the Project Development Committee and the Fundraising Committee. Member since 2010.

 

Ryan Gaul - Active. Looking forward to making a difference in Latin America and throughout the underdeveloped world wherever social or economic injustice exists. Seeking his MPA from George Mason University with a focus on International Management, he is currently a member of the Project Development, Ethics and Values, and Recruiting and Appraisal committees. Member since 2010.


Mariano Claudio - Successful. Recognized for his business acumen and philanthropic endeavors by the Latino community in the greater Washington area. Has helped build schools in the region and sponsored concerts to raise funds for multiple charitable causes. Currently participates as a mentor and advisor to the organization, opening doors for our projects for Latino businesses and Fortune 500 executives. Member since 2010.

Luis Salazar - Assertive. Having both parents born in South America, and having lived there as a kid, has fond memories of the region. Currently serves in the Finance and Accountability Committee and the Fundraising Committee. Member since 2010.

Pedro Rubio - Charismatic. An innovative businessman with a sharp sense for raising money for charitable causes. Has family and strong ties to Central America. Currently serves as a leader in the Fundraising Committee. Member since 2010.

Kannessia Jordan - Kannessia currently works at the Federal Circuit Bar Association and has gained an extensive amount of experience related to nonprofit organizations and trade associations through her employment with the Association. Prior to working at FCBA, Kannessia was a Project Manager for a fast paced company in Northern Virginia and as such gained experience in planning, coordinating and managing a variety of projects. In addition to her experience, she is a graduate student at George Mason University pursing her Masters in Public Policy.
When not working, Kannessia volunteers for a number of organizations throughout Washington D.C. including SOME and the Urban League. She has also studied in Europe, Mexico and Africa. Kannessia joined this organization because of her commitment to her community, education, and work.

Sarah Cornejo - Adventurous.

Fabiola Francisco - Fabiola currently is the Government, Business Development principal for Condortech Services, Inc. a well established federal security contractor in the DC area. She is an active member of the Security Industry Association and currently sits on the Small Business and Government Relations committees. Fabiola has both public and private sector management experience. During her tenure at Peace Corps she managed an annual budget of 7.5M, and was selected to participate in the Peace Corps Diversity Council. Member since 2010.

Rebecca M. Burch - Rebecca works for a health care non-profit that provides health care to low-income women and families throughout the United States. She is committed to empowering Latin Americans with the resources they need to strengthen their health care and social infrastructures.

Justin Mack - From an early age, Justin was instilled with a passion for traveling to new destinations and meeting new people. Over the years, he has had the opportunity to visit Central and South America several times. He is honored to be a part of IADF and give back to the incredible people and cultures of Latin America.

Development Partners

 

Olinfa Tames - Philanthropist with unbeatable religious convictions. Became the first Development Partner of the organization. Currently colaborates motivating the Latino community in the United States to collaborates with projects in Latin America. Member since 2008.

 

Pamela Arnez Tapia - Administrator. Founder of the group Latinos on the Move in Cochabamba, Bolivia. Her great capacity in management made her capable to administer hundreds of volunteers in Bolivia. Her charisma, humbleness, and passion for service have helped inspire our volunteers to organize dozens of fundraising events for our projects in the country. Member since 2008.
