Terms and conditions

All projects developed by the Inter-American Development Fund respect the following terms and conditions extracted from our Organic Constitution and Internal Bylaws.

Terms and Conditions

  1. The Inter-American Development Fund is apolitical; therefore no project or initiative should be taken in order to favor a political party or politician during elections.
  2. To avoid mismanagement of funds, the Inter-American Development Fund does not handle money to other institutions, companies, or persons for the implementation of projects.  All monies will be handled uniquely by authorized functionaries of the Inter-American Development Fund to purchase, contract or hire services and materials necessary for the completion of the project.
  3. The Inter-American Development Fund reserves the naming rights for the park, plaza, school, classroom, auditorium, field, arena, court, library, clinic, or hospital to be built.  This because the Inter-American Development Fund uses the name as a fundraising strategy to attract sponsors for the project.
  4. The Inter-American Development Fund does not finance projects alone, and will always request that the recipient community/organization and local government complement the costs of the project.
  5. During the inauguration of the project the Inter-American Fund may have up to three official speakers depending on special guests and relevant benefactor.
  6. The Inter-American Development Fund reserves the right to place a plaque in the structure to be inaugurated with the name of the project, its sponsors, and those who made it possible.
  7. During the inauguration of the project there will be a priest of the Holy Roman Catholic Church present who will bless the project and those involved in it.
  8. The Inter-American Development Fund reserves the right to use images, videos, blue prints, and other materials for promotion and fundraising of the project.
The Inter-American Development Fund will require that the recipient community/organization through its representative sign a Concession Contract at the day of the Inauguration pledging to maintain, safeguard, and if needed enhance the structure.  Recipient also pledges to receive representatives of the Inter-American Development Fund for their annual supervision to the facilities and its administration.
